Aaron Sternhagen

I’m an attorney with a focus on international trademark prosecution. Representing clients in all aspects of prosecution and protection, particularly in international filing and affairs, is my passion.

What I enjoy most about my job is the challenging, fast paced, and diverse work that comes from representing clients on big issues, all around the globe. It is truly rewarding to help clients protect their innovations and grow their businesses.

I have a background in chemical engineering, which gives me a unique perspective when it comes to helping clients protect their intellectual property. I’ve worked in a number of industries, including gold mining and processing, oil/gas, and semiconductor fabrication. Prior to joining the IpHorgan team I aslo clerked for the 4th Judicial Circuit of South Dakota.

I have a strong commitment to volunteer service including work with the Rapid City Club for Boys, South Dakota Teen Court Association, and the Boy Scouts of America.

Outside my work for IpHorgan I enjoy skiing and spending time back in my hometown of Deadwood, within the Black Hills of South Dakota. I’m also currently pursuing a second bachelor’s degree in Computer Science to feed my passion and curiosity for all things STEM.
